Low-Glycemic Foods Gaining the Attention of Dieters

The Glycemic Index measures how fast a carbohydrate is digested and raises blood-sugar levels.

High-glycemic carbs, such as refined flours, are quickly digested which is not good. Low-glycemic carbs, such as whole grains, are digested more slowly. Low glycemic food products have the attention of dieters.

The detailed Glycemic Index has better science behind it than most low-carb diets, says Grant Ferrier, editor of Nutrition Business Journal

Healthy and Sweet, the all natural sweetener marketed by Health Rewards International has a near 0 glycemic index rating since each serving does not elevate blood sugar.
